The world today is at a very critical stage both morally and socially. Economies are failing every day and financial distress has become the order of the day. World governments everywhere are facing numerous challenges and widespread disenchantment from their citizenry. What with having to grapple with dwindling resources, droughts, and food shortages? Emerging new strains of bacterial viruses that are resistant to drugs? Escalation of crime rates and proliferation in world cities of hard drugs?
Certainly, the world situation is deteriorating and spiraling out of control. Disillusionment and hopelessness have gripped the world populace and threaten to destabilize world peace. Every day, the world over, governments are facing picketing and mass action from their people. World leaders and governance technocrats are desperately in a race to seek solutions to these multi-faceted problems which prove quite elusive. The following scripture aptly describes the world situation today.
And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their King and their God, and look upward. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish, and they shall be driven to darkness (Isaiah8:21-22).
Despite this grim overall world view, on the individual and personal level, there is a blessed hope that is quite refreshing and encouraging. A hope and a promise that aims to heal the ills that beset mankind; the grace that accords salvation has been revealed to all men!
While the entire world populace seems to have taken a panic pill of some sort, the statement above gives to every individual the promise and hope that the world has definitely lost and ended up being driven to darkness. A condition that the world needs to be delivered from and set at liberty in order to experience the abundance and peace that our Creator purposed for the world.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.
However, the blanket of darkness in the world is quite thick and blinding! The world, as we have learned, through disobedience, is driven to darkness. Has God’s will then been thwarted? Has the enemy succeeded in derailing God’s will and plan for mankind? Certainly not! The Sovereign God will never surrender His will to a usurper or suffer defeat from the machinations of the evil one.

Through divine providence, God has purposed for You to come to the light of the knowledge of His son Jesus Christ and the liberty that is in His beloved.
